Update your password and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Learn how to update your password and enable multi-factor authentication (mfa) in the Phasio manufacturing platform
Account security is a critical aspect of protecting your organization's data and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Phasio’s platform provides robust security features that enable you to safeguard your account against unauthorized access and potential data breaches.
This guide covers two essential security features available to all Phasio users:
- Password Management: Regularly updating your password significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): This security layer requires two separate verification methods before granting access to your account. Even if your password is compromised, MFA provides an additional barrier against unauthorized entry.
By implementing both measures, you can substantially improve your account security and protect sensitive manufacturing data stored on the Phasio platform.
Update your password
It's recommended to change your password regularly (every 60-90 days) and immediately if you suspect any security issues.
- Navigate to Account Settings (bottom-left corner on the Phasio platform).
- Click Account and a popup with your account details will appear.
- Under Security, select Change Password.
- Enter your current password and your desired new password (minimum 6 characters).
- Click Change Password to confirm.
☝️ Tip: Use a password manager like 1Password or LastPass for optimal password suggestions and security.
Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA)
MFA adds a crucial second layer of security by requiring access to your mobile device in addition to your password.

- Click Account and a popup with your account details will appear.
- Under Security, select Enable MFA.
- Click Continue on the next screen to confirm your intention to set up MFA.

- Use your desired authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy) to scan the QR code.
- Enter the verification code shown in your authenticator app into the verification field.
- Click Enable MFA to complete the setup.
