Add a new post-processing option

Phasio’s platform lets manufacturers define available post-processing capabilities, allowing customers to choose from a range of finishing operations during checkout. Each option can include a custom pricing structure using the advanced equation editor, ensuring the cost of each finishing operation is accurately calculated and included at checkout.

This guide explains how to create a new post-processing option.

Add a new post-processing option

1. Click Post-processing from the main sidebar.
2. Click the + button in the top-right corner.

This opens the post-processing creation modal:

1. Name: Enter a name that clearly describes the finishing operation’s characteristics and results, helping customers understand its purpose and appearance.
2. Effective From: Set the date when this post-processing option becomes available for customers to select and use on your Storefront.
3. Purchasable toggle: Controls whether customers can purchase this post-processing option directly at checkout.
   • Enabled: Customers can pay for the option without prior review.
   • Disabled: The option appears in the quote, but payment is restricted. The manufacturer is responsible for reviewing the quote, verifying requirements, finalizing the price, and coordinating directly with the customer before proceeding.
4. Equation Editor: Input the pricing equation for this finishing operation. The equation uses the same mathematical syntax and formatting as process pricing equations.
5. Workflow Steps (Workflows users only): Select the relevant workflow steps (workstations) that can be used to complete this post-processing operation.
6. Click Add to save the new post-processing option.

Once added, this option will appear in your post-processing database and can be assigned to specific manufacturing processes.
