Manage notifications to customers
Learn how to manage notifications to customers in the Phasio manufacturing platform
Phasio allows manufacturers to fully customize their customer notification system, including comprehensive email whitelabeling and control over which status updates customers receive. This ensures consistent branding across all communication touchpoints and helps tailor notification frequency to match your customer service strategy.
Email whitelabeling

Navigate to Organization from the main sidebar, and select General.

Scroll down to the Notifications section.

Click Configure in the Notifications section to access email whitelabeling settings.

Enter the required connection parameters based on your email provider’s specifications.

Click Save to apply your changes.
👉 Your email account is now linked to Phasio, and all customer notifications will be sent from your designated email address.
Create your Gmail app password

Click the profile image icon in the top-right corner of your Gmail window.

Click Manage your Google Account to access your Google settings.

Navigate to the Security tab.

Enable 2-Step Verification.
If it’s already enabled, you can proceed to the next step.

Click 2-Step Verification and sign in to your Google account if prompted.

Scroll down to the App passwords section.

Create a new app password named “Phasio”.

Copy the generated app password.

Return to the Phasio platform, go to Organization > General, and click Configure next to the email whitelabeling settings.

Paste the app password created in Step 8.
Enter the required connection details:
- Host
- Port
- Username (your Google Account email address)
Finally, click Save to update your email configuration.
👉 Your Gmail account is now linked. All emails sent from the Phasio platform will now be delivered using your Gmail address.
Configure notifications to customers
- Order Confirmations toggle: When enabled, customers will receive automated email confirmations from Phasio after successfully placing an order. This provides immediate verification of their transaction.
- Order Updates toggle: When enabled, customers will receive automated email notifications as their order progresses through each status on the Order Board.
