Manage precision options
Learn how to manage precision options in the Phasio manufacturing platform
Phasio’s platform lets manufacturers define multiple precision levels and link them to specific pricing, giving customers flexibility when choosing tolerances. Precision settings are specific to each manufacturing technology, allowing you to tailor options to every process.
This guide explains how to add new precision options and configure existing ones.
Add a new precision price
- Click Processes from the main sidebar.
- Select the process you want to configure, then go to the Precision tab.
- Click the + button to add a new precision option.
This opens the Precision Configuration modal:
- Name: Enter a clear, descriptive name that communicates the quality to customers (e.g., Standard Tolerance, High Precision, Ultra-Precision Machining).
- Price Multiplier: Set a numerical value greater than zero to adjust the final part cost:
- For standard precision levels, use a multiplier value of 1.0 (no price change).
- For higher precision levels that involve extra manufacturing time or specialized processes, use a multiplier above 1.0 (e.g., 1.25, 1.5, 2.0).
- The final quote will automatically multiply the base cost by this value.
- Effective From: Set the date when this precision option becomes available for customers to select on your Storefront.
