Manage part groups

Understand how builds and part groups move through your production operations.

A build is a named physical tray of parts at one stage of production. A single build can mix parts from several different work orders. The name travels with the tray so operators can track it through the shop floor.

ℹ️ On some screens builds are labelled "groups" β€” they are the same concept.

How builds form

Parts enter a build when an operator stages them on the build screen. The build screen lets operators stage parts per destination operation. When the operator hits Progress, those staged groups become the next build at the destination operation.

Build naming

When parts are staged you can give the outgoing build a name.
